Canadian iPhone, anyone?
At the risk of adding more unnecessary garbage to the labyrinth of information that is the World Wide Web, I hereby add my own say on the matter of the Canadian iPhone -- or lack thereof.
Where is it?
Now I can understand that it might not be in Apple's best business interests to come to Canada at the moment - it might really be that the market is just too small and/or that Apple just hasn't been able to come to a deal with Rogers (the only company that could handle the iPhone) yet - but is it in Apple's best customer relations interests to withhold it? Aren't we great buddies in the Great White North?
At any rate, I'm definitely not surprised by the amount of interest in "unlocking" iPhones for use here in Canada, and cannot possibly condemn anyone for doing so. I think it's actually a bit insulting that Apple has ignored us. But then again, they are not a charity - and if it makes business sense not to come up here for now, I understand. They should just not expect anyone to stop using the iPhones "illegally" for now!
